Class Perks - Defender subclass. Gift of Light, Gift of the Void and Iron Harvest
Armour - Insurmountable Skullfort. An artifact that gives a chance of an orb on a void melee kill(void accumulator). Try get your armour/artifact/class to get tier 5 intellect (300) and 5 strength (300)
Weapons - Monte Carlo (dealing damage reduces melee cool down and grants chance to fully charge your melee with each kill) and/or army of one weapons (ether nova fusion has army of one and two for one) or bad juju ( to build super and create orbs with bubble)
The gift of light perk creates orbs for every melee kill and the helmet gives an extra meleecharge. Generally you channel the power of the titan and punch everything leaving a trail of orbs behind you. The gift of the void perk will create an extra 3 orbs when your bubble takes damage from enemies which is 5 orbs for every bubble you put up. The Iron harvest perk gives you a chance to create an orb on heavy weapon kills . Darkdrinker is brilliant for this but if enemies are too dangerous a machine gun works well too. Basically you should be a constant orb producer roataing between melee super and heavy.
